As well as being a writer, I'm also a musician. Under the name 'Summerheads', I've been releasing music since 2014 that blends a lush electronic backdrop with strong hooks and harmonies. Influenced by a range of artists such as Washed Out, Cocteau Twins, Engineers and Ulrich Schnauss, the sound has evolved from the pure pop of 'A Better Day' and 'Cynical Love' to the dreamy ambience of 'Falling After You', the latter recorded during lockdown. E.P.s 'Ghosts In The Machine' and 'Turn To The Sun' (both 2015) were re-released last year on Apple Music as a single album, and the final collection in our new 'State' 6-track mini-albums - 'State of Yearning', 'State of Shock' and 'State of Grace' - was released in 2024.
